Mrs. Elmo Says, "Sneeze like this!"

I ask this question in regard to a news story out of Washington D.C. today; is it your obligation to twist your body and possibly pull a muscle or pinch a nerve in order to use this "new" method of sneezing?

The preferred method of sneezing today should be the one leg behind your head while standing on the other leg. Some of you, I know I do, prefer the method of women lifting their skirts over their heads when sneezing and men to lift their shirts over their heads to prevent their deadly viral spew from entering into the breathing space of their fellow citizens.

Are these people (in the government) crazy? When have you ever seen anyone use this method of sneezing? Be thankful that the sneezer, who prompted the Kathleen Sebelius demonstration, did so in his hand and didn't just let it fly. She then went on to insult the sneezer (NBC White

House reporter Chuck Todd) by suggesting that Sesame Street's Elmo could give Todd a special briefing.

Thank you so much for the correct method of sneezing instruction Mrs. Elmo.

This method of sneezing is as unnatural as socialism in a republic. I recommend sneezing into a zip lock plastic bag (biodegradable of course) and deposit it in a biohazard trash bin.

Critical Thinking

Have you heard the same talking points and political rhetoric come out of the mouths of people arguing over current political issues? Or even stating that they hate some news commentator or radio talk show host? I have. So when I heard this "informed view" I asked this verbose person, "Have you ever read his books, listened to his radio program or watched his cable show?

Or have you read his magazine or even visited his web site? What do you know about this person?" There was nothing but silence. No reply at all. In the days that followed, this person again voiced his uninformed position with the same conviction as he had just a few days earlier.

People from both sides of issues who spew talking and rhetoric are nothing more than political automatons. Fully invested in the paradigm of blind faith that they are right just because they think they are. A belief without the benefit of evidence to support that position, when proof exists to the contrary. How can you argue with "feelings"?

By arming yourself with knowledge and by basing your arguments on fact not "feelings" you will be on the road to becoming a critical thinker. No longer will you be using circular logic. Phrases like "I feel" or "I think" to punctuate or lend credence to your positions will fall away from your discussions. You will start to weigh the facts you have gathered and form your own opinions and those talking points or party rhetoric will no longer be regurgitated by you.

Instead of stating, as fact, that someone is a fat stupid idiot you will focus on their actions. When anyone, no matter the party affiliation, starts launching verbal personal attacks at you because you do not "feel" or "think" exactly as they do their argument will be forfeit. In the absence of a viable argument your opponent can only walk away or descend into name calling in a feeble attempt to dehumanize you.

Nations conduct themselves in this manner. By dehumanizing your enemy you have made them less than you, monsters. It's always easier to kill a monster. That is one way nations can turn a population of normally peaceful citizens into monster killers.

By dehumanizing our fellow citizens it makes it easier for "special interest groups" to launch vicious verbal attacks against them. Right thinking people use this tactic every day to discount opposing views. Those who insist on verbally abusing an opponent have retreated from the high ground to focus on slogging through the mud in their strategy of trench warfare.

You will have come into your own and thereby shed the indoctrination of the group think which has held sway over you and your freedom to think for yourself. The fresh air of individual thought will fill your mind with clarity and sometimes confusion. Your will, will be your own. No longer driven with the herd in this direction or that as thunder claps around them. The direction chosen will be selected by you and you alone.

No longer will you discount others humanity because they do not think as you do. They will again rejoin the human race and will cease to be "Fascist's", "racist", "war mongers", "corporate toadies" or "homophobes". They will become magically transformed from something less than human back into human beings and fellow citizens who see things through their unique life experiences and beliefs.

I implore you all to think for yourselves and I would ask you not to subject me to the echoes of others.

Whistle Blower Alert in Tucson AZ

"I worked for the City of Tucson for 2 yrs, in the communications dept. I ran cable in the 911 call center and worked on police cars (radios and computers). The communications dept. is also responsible for the emergency communication towers around Tucson. This dept. was SMALL in comparison to most city departments. And I witnessed millions of dollars of waste. (THEFT) I was told by the president of the Union for the city that this TYPE of waste went on in every single department!!!!


At every tower, there’s a small building that holds all the electronic equipment (fiber optics, electronic boards etc.) These electronic boards cost between $15k to $150k each. There are anywhere from a few boards to fifty plus per building, depending on the towers purpose.

The Engineer’s told management over and over that the boards that they were ordering would NOT work. These boards are made to spec. and cannot be returned. Management told the engineer’s to use them anyway. Of course they didn’t work and needed to be re-ordered (and paid for again). Now, you might say there’s incompetence everywhere, right? Not when you change the SAME damn boards, in the SAME damn building ten plus times in a row for the same reason. Do you get what I’m trying to tell you?


I say, audit every single government entity local, state and federal, and then prosecute the thieves!!!! Government corruption is TREASON and should be dealt with as such!!!!"

If this is what our elected officials do at the city level just imagine the amount of waste and fraud that occurs on the county, state and national levels.


It doesn't matter what bills are passed, the sheer weight of corruption and waste on a scale of this magnitude will send the country into bankruptcy.

Today's Vernacular Nonsense

In a local diner a regular customer asks,“Waitress, could I have the eggs over easy please.” “You sure can sweetie. Over easy coming right up.” Minutes later, “Here ya go sweetie, enjoy.” “Waitress, I ordered over easy these are cooked right through. It was a simple order. What’s the matter with you? I just wanted my eggs runny. Why did you bring me the wrong order? You must be a fascist.”


In another part of town, “What do you mean you disagree with me? You must be a racist."


Down the block, “You aren’t for the Obama Health care Reform? You must be an AstroTurf, un-American, racists, war mongering, fascists, political terrorists, traitor, right-wing nut job.”

Back at the diner, “Here’s your runny eggs sweetie.” "Thanks you little Nazi.”

Obamacare Resurrected...Heal!

I attended the September 1st Tucson town hall meeting on health care reform. The auditorium held a capacity crowd of 1200 people. The overflow crowd was at least another 2,000. As a witness to this event, I would estimate that 90% of that crowd was against this Obamacare legislation. Rep. Giffords stated the there were at least 20 versions of this legislation floating around congress. She also stated the she would not vote for any bill which did not include a "pay-go" provision in it. Where is that money going to come from?

The concerned audience wondered why the government wanted to reinvent the health care system instead of passing tort reform. As insurance is commerce, which falls under Congressional powers, pass federal laws which enable insurance companies to sell their insurance across state lines. And while they are at it, eliminate Medicare fraud estimated to be $60 billion and growing.

Do you really want the government to reinvent something they created which has been proven to be wasteful and inefficient? TARP (Troubled Asset Relief Program) was created to buy up the financial instructions "toxic assets", how much of the $700 billion and $150 in congressional bribes for their votes went to buy those "toxic assets"? Zero! Not one penny of that "have to pass right now" bill went for "toxic assets". And you trust them to dismantle a working medical system and replace it with what?

This government diverts funds from Social Security, The Stimulus Package and God knows what else in their four book accounting system. I pray that you would utilize some critical thinking before you give this government the thumbs up for increasing our country’s' by even one penny. Wake up already! They never fix the problems, they pass place holder problems so they'll have something in the future to activate the base with and to acquire yet more public funds and power. The government grows, it never shrinks.

ACORN, RICO, OUCH!

I have been calling for the complete defunding of ACORN ever since their employees were arrested, indicted and sentenced for voter registration fraud in the 2008 general election. We now have evidence that ACORN has allegedly engaged other criminal activities, the same activities in multiple states...or interstate criminal activity.
Let me think for a minute. I believe that we have a law which covers this kind of criminal activity. Do you know what that law is? I'll wait while you look it up on the internet.

Have you got it? If not then I'll tell you, it's the RICO (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations) Act. We've had this law on the books the entire time ACORN (Association of Community Organizations for Reform) has allegedly been involved in their criminal activities. In fact the law predates any wrong doing that ACORN may have been engaged in. And it is within the purview of the FBI to investigate those violations. I guess they must have been busy with something else or they never saw the television news reporting of those alleged illegal voter registration fraud cases in multiple states or read the newspaper articles about those cases. Guess they just didn't put it together that ACORN was in most states and that those indictable violations of voter laws happened in multiple states at the same time. I wonder what they were doing.

It couldn't be that the RICO is applicable to only mobsters or members of organized crime in Chicago could it? No, wait...ACORN is in Chicago so that can't be it.
OUCH (Organized Unindicted Criminal Hooligans) of ACORN should be investigated by the FBI under the RICO Act to prove or disprove their involvement in interstate criminal activities.
It would appear that from a tiny bad ACORN a gigantic corrupt criminal organization has grown.

Why The U.S.Creates New Problems While Trying to Solve Old Ones and How We Can Break That Cycle

Some of our politicians seem to be in a constant state of "What's in it for ME?" mode. On the campaign trail they represent themselves as being the champions of the people...always there for us and always doing what's right for the little guys who seem to have lost their voices. But wait, the political champions will fix all of our ills and right all wrongs. They conduct focus groups and take tracking polls to ascertain our concerns. Then they spew out well crafted speeches, campaign slogans and promises which they never intend to keep. All of these things they do to get elected. Once elected they turn from being the man or woman of the people to their natural state...a self serving self promoting politician. It was never their intention to serve their constituents; instead it was just the means to an end. And that end is to gain power over their bosses, you and me, and to get whatever they can from whomever is offering it. This is how Earmarks are passed through the system. "You scratch my Earmark and I'll scratch yours." Don't be angry with them over their actions, they can't help themselves! The story of the scorpion and the frog explains it all.


A scorpion wants to cross a river, but it can’t swim. It asks a frog to help. The frog is worried, but the scorpion promises "I won’t sting you, because if I did I would drown." In mid river the scorpion stings the frog. The dying frog asks, "why?" and the drowning scorpion answers "that’s my nature."


It's in their nature just as it's in the nature of the scorpion. If we continue to ignore the nature of the politicians who run our government, then we too risk drowning with the scorpions.

This way of doing business or governing is not governing at all but rather systemic corruption (worthy of a RICO investigation) which results in diminished: representation, freedom of the citizenry and a declining civilization. Let's not forget the lessons of the fallen civilizations of the Greeks. Romans and the Soviets. It was corruption which brought down those empires. We can plainly see that ours is and has been for decades - possibly centuries - a corrupt government. Placing self interest first and country second or maybe even last has been the rule for some if not most of those supposed public servants.

So, how can we fix these problems? The very first thing we should do is to recognize that the answers don't lie with those who created these problems but rather with those who are empowered, by The Constitution of The United States of America, to elect these representatives. Once we recognize that WE are the government then and only then will we start to recover or reclaim our country. To put it another way; our country's problems aren't the fault of those corrupt politicians in Washington D.C., it's our fault. The proverbial buck stops with us. In order for the citizens of the United States to regain control of our government we must first know the Constitution, The Bill of Rights, a general knowledge of the laws of our country, we are hiring and the issues of the day. That is a lot to know! What's the alternative? To rely on others to do not only our bidding but to act in our best interest? To "trust" them? How's that worked so far? And yes, I did say hiring. We are the hiring supervisors in this organization. So, we must also do the recruiting, we must define the job description, the job qualifications and the minimum requirement which need to be met by the successful candidate. We must generate our own application pool and never again wait for the next candidate to knock on our door asking for the job. We must create an organization from the ground up. From the city to the county to the district to the state and ultimately national level.

In the recent past the voters of our country have voted for candidates from either the Democratic or Republican parties. When they have become disillusioned by the party in power they have voted the opposing party into office. Clearly this method of choosing our representatives doesn't work. These are both "big tent" organizations, but they've let in too many corrupt politicians into their tent or the tents canvas has rotted from the continued exposure to the insessant corruption that has rendered them useless as a shelter for its members and useless for public service.

We need to create a new independent party truly representative of the citizens of our country. A party whose office holders and candidates are truly held accountable by their constituents. There are some politicians currently who are good people doing good work for their constituents. But, I won't be voting for them as a Democrat or a Republican. We must convince those good servants of the people to leave their parties and join with us. After we fully vet them, of course.


If you are looking for answers to our country's problems you will not find those answers in either of those two parties. They are there merely to drive, or activate the base, into the direction of their our choosing. That is not representation. It is their agenda that they serve, not ours. They stay in power by dividing the electorate.


Never again should we lap up the Madison Avenue prepackaged commercially hyped hand puppet.

Never again should any sitting President, Senator or Congressperson have an (R) or a (D) following their name. Neither of those private clubs represent the U.S. citizenry and never have.

Our freedoms, rights, choices and our country's treasury are slipping completely away from our control. We must endeavor to regain control over our country, its' policies, treaties, foreign and domestic laws and our lives.

Aways remember that we are in charge. We are the bosses and we are the parents. We have left our children to run amok. And now we must give them a time-out.

Let this be our battle cry, "Time-out, Time-out." And for most of those holding office, It's time to GET OUT!
